About the role
ABOUT SPRINGS Springs is a small, fast-moving product team building tools people reach for every day. We care a lot about taste, polish, and shipping. We are well-funded, profitable, and growing — and we hire people who want to do the best work of their career. THE ROLE You'll join a tight engineering team and own end-to-end delivery of frontend features. This is not a "ticket-pulling" role — you will shape product decisions, work directly with design, and ship to production multiple times a week. We expect you to push back when something feels wrong, propose better solutions, and care as much about how the product feels as how it works. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Build user-facing features in React, TypeScript, and Next.js (App Router) • Translate Figma designs into pixel-honest, accessible, performant components • Own the design system: shared primitives, tokens, motion patterns • Optimize for Core Web Vitals — bundle size, hydration, lazy loading, image strategy • Wire up product analytics, instrument experiments, and follow up on the data • Pair with backend engineers on API design — you'll co-own the contract, not just consume it • Help us raise the bar on accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA as a floor, not a ceiling) • Review code, mentor more junior engineers, and contribute to engineering practices WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 3–6 years of professional frontend experience • Strong React + TypeScript fundamentals — you understand re-renders, suspense, hooks deeply • Comfortable with Next.js App Router, RSC, and modern bundling (Webpack/Turbopack) • Strong CSS — Flexbox, Grid, custom properties, animations; opinions about utility vs. component-scoped styles • Experience with at least one state management approach beyond useState (Zustand, Jotai, Redux, TanStack Query) • Have shipped accessible interfaces — you can speak to ARIA, focus management, keyboard navigation • Care about performance and have profiled a real app (DevTools, Lighthouse, web-vitals) • Strong product sense — you can look at a flow and tell us what's broken • Clear written and verbal communication BONUS POINTS • Open-source contributions • Experience with design tooling (Figma plugins, design tokens pipelines) • Animation work using Framer Motion or GSAP • Past work on developer tools, B2B SaaS, or design-led consumer products • Have led a frontend refactor / rewrite INTERVIEW PROCESS 1. 30-min intro call with the hiring manager 2. Take-home (~3 hours) — you keep the work, we pay you for your time if needed 3. Pairing session (90 min) — real codebase, real bug 4. Final loop — system design + culture conversation 5. Offer within 3 business days of the final round COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • ₹18–32 LPA depending on experience and level • Meaningful equity (ESOPs with a 4-year vest, 1-year cliff) • Hardware budget — pick your laptop, monitor, peripherals • Unlimited PTO (minimum 20 days/year; we mean it) • Health insurance for you and your family • Annual learning budget (₹50k) — books, courses, conferences • Remote-first, with optional Bangalore office; we cover travel for offsites (2/year) REPORTING TO Engineering Lead Springs is an equal-opportunity employer. We hire based on what you can do, not where you went to school.
