## About the role The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of retail stores. The role involves driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team of retail staff to achieve store goals and enhance overall performance. **Store:** SSAPL — Infiniti Mall, Malad **Grade:** G1 | **Department:** Retail | **Reports to:** Store Manager **Position type:** Permanent ## Responsibilities - Manage end-to-end store operations. - Accountable for achieving store targets. - Achieve customer satisfaction standards by maximising the customer's experience. - Manage all phases of store operations to ensure maximum sales and profitability. - Mentor and manage store staff. - Ensure visual display of products as per VM guidelines. - Coordinate with different departments for operational effectiveness. - Provide a clean, fun and safe environment for employees and customers. - Ensure optimum stock levels, product assortment and replenishment — including ordering, receiving, price changes, and handling damaged products and returns. - Facilitate staff learning and development. - Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports. - Maintain customer data, cash handling and stock management. - Handle and resolve staff grievances. ## Role specifications ## Qualification - Graduate. ## Experience - Minimum 2 years as second line in charge in an apparel or footwear retail store (client screening bar). - JD band for the grade is 5–7 years overall. ## Competencies - Proficient in Excel and the platforms used for reporting structures. - Team management experience. - Experience managing P&L is preferred. - Well spoken, with a level of proficiency in presentation. - Product knowledge is an added advantage.
