## About the role MITCON is hiring a Solar + BESS Design Engineer to lead the design of hybrid solar and battery storage projects — site assessments, energy yield analysis, and the electrical and mechanical drawing set — combining deep technical work with project management and team leadership. **Location:** Delhi, India **Salary:** As per industry standards ## Key responsibilities - Design and engineering: lead the full design of solar and BESS projects, including site assessments, energy yield analysis, and detailed electrical and mechanical drawings. - Technical analysis: conduct complex energy and financial modelling using PVsyst and HOMER Pro to optimise system performance and financial returns. - Compliance: ensure all designs meet national and local electrical and safety codes as per regulatory requirements. - Collaboration and leadership: work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, mentor junior engineers, and act as technical expert across all project aspects. ## Required skills and qualifications ## Experience - 5–7 years in solar PV and/or BESS design and engineering. ## Technical tools - Proficiency with AutoCAD, Helioscope and PVsyst. - Energy and financial modelling in PVsyst and HOMER Pro. ## Knowledge - Strong understanding of power systems, energy storage technologies, and industry standards (IS, IEC, UL and similar). ## Education - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
