Metaview alternatives: what to use if you need more than interview notes

Metaview alternatives compared as of November 2026: BrightHire, Ashby, Dover, Gem, hireEZ, Juicebox, Weekday and 100Networks, by what each does past notes.

If you only want better interview notes, the closest alternatives to Metaview are BrightHire (now part of Zoom) and the AI notetakers built into Ashby and Dover. If you want more than notes — sourcing, outreach, phone screening and first-round interviews — you are choosing a different kind of product, and the right one depends on where your bottleneck is and whether you hire in India.

This post is written by 100Networks, and one of the products below — the 100Networks Workspace — is ours. We have described each tool from its maker's own pages as of November 2026 and said where we are not the right choice. That includes saying when Metaview itself is the right answer.

First: what Metaview does now

Metaview is best known as an AI notetaker for interviews: it joins the call, writes the notes, fills the scorecard and handles follow-ups, and syncs with ATS tools including Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, Gem and SmartRecruiters. Its language support is unusually wide — Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu are on the list, and it can follow calls that switch between English and Hindi.

It is no longer notes-only. As of November 2026 Metaview sells agents for sourcing, application review and screening alongside notes, email outreach sequences, reports, and an AI coworker called fillmore that finds candidates, runs outreach and books screening calls. Its screening agent runs recorded voice conversations scored against a rubric, with a person making every progress or reject decision. Sourcing is priced from free (first 100 profiles) to $100 or $300 per user a month; its support docs describe a Notes Free plan of up to 25 calls a month.

So before switching, ask what is actually missing. People usually look for an alternative for one of four reasons: a different notetaker, notes inside the ATS, stronger sourcing, or the whole loop in one place with channels that work in India.

BrightHire (part of Zoom)

Best for: teams that want interview intelligence and nothing else, done thoroughly.

BrightHire is the closest like-for-like alternative to Metaview's notes. Zoom announced it was acquiring BrightHire in November 2025 and closed the deal in December 2025. It covers the interview layer end to end: AI-assisted interview plans, an AI Interviewer for first-round screens, real-time interview guides, AI notes and one-click scorecards, candidate summaries for decision meetings, and an AI coaching agent that measures interview quality. BrightHire says it remains platform-agnostic, with integrations for Greenhouse, Ashby, Workday, Lever, Rippling, BambooHR and Gem.

What it does not do: sourcing or outreach. It deliberately stays on the interview.

Pricing: on request.

Ashby

Best for: teams that would rather have notes inside the ATS than in a separate tool.

Ashby is an all-in-one ATS with scheduling, analytics and sourcing built in. Its AI Notetaker records, transcribes and summarises interviews and debriefs as a paid add-on, and it offers AI-assisted application review against criteria you define, plus AI candidate search and outreach personalisation.

What it does not do: it is a system of record, not a set of agents that work on their own overnight.

Pricing: Foundations, for companies up to 100 employees, is listed at $400 a month (10% off annually); larger plans on request; the AI Notetaker is an add-on.

Dover

Best for: early-stage startups that want an ATS with a notetaker for little or no money.

Dover offers a free ATS with unlimited users, jobs and candidates, job posting to 50+ boards and built-in scheduling. Premium adds AI applicant scoring and an AI notetaker. Dover also runs a marketplace of fractional recruiters you can engage hourly, on retainer or per hire.

What it does not do: autonomous sourcing or AI-run interviews on its own pages.

Pricing: ATS free; Premium $199 a month; recruiters set their own rates.

Gem

Best for: teams that want sourcing, CRM, ATS and scheduling in one system.

Gem combines an ATS, a talent CRM, an AI Sourcing Agent across 800M+ profiles, an App Review Agent that ranks applicants and explains each score, fraud detection, scheduling and analytics. It runs as an all-in-one or on top of Greenhouse, Workday, Lever or iCIMS, and integrates with interview intelligence tools rather than replacing them.

What it does not do: it is not primarily a notetaker, so many Gem teams keep a separate one.

Pricing: a Startup Program for very small companies is listed (free for six months under 30 employees); other plans by company size on request.

hireEZ

Best for: larger teams that want agents on top of the ATS they already run.

hireEZ's EZ Agent coordinates sourcing from 1B+ profiles across 45+ platforms, applicant review, conversational AI screening by voice or chat, scheduling and a talent CRM, all on top of an existing ATS. Its stated rule: nothing moves forward without your approval.

What it does not do: interview notetaking is not its focus.

Pricing: solo recruiters from $494 a month with a 7-day trial; enterprise on request.

Juicebox (PeopleGPT)

Best for: teams whose real bottleneck is finding people, not documenting interviews.

Juicebox searches 800M profiles from 30+ sources in plain language, runs sourcing agents that learn from your feedback, and sends email sequences, with LinkedIn and call steps handled as tasks for a person to complete. It integrates with 100+ ATS and CRM tools.

What it does not do: interviews or notes.

Pricing: Free plan; Starter $99 and Growth $179 per seat a month billed yearly; Agents add-on $199 a month.

Weekday

Best for: Indian startups that want India-native sourcing and outreach.

Weekday pairs an India talent database with an AI sourcing agent and outreach that follows up by email, WhatsApp and phone. You can subscribe for database access and credits, or hand the search to a Weekday recruiter on contingency.

What it does not do: interview notes are not part of its public product.

Pricing: contingency at 15% of annual salary with a 60-day replacement period; subscription on request.

100Networks Workspace

Best for: teams hiring in India who want sourcing, outreach, calling, AI interviews and notes in one place, with a person approving every step.

The 100Networks Workspace is an AI hiring team for the roles a company fills itself. You attach the job description and its agents work through the night: the Sourcer finds and ranks people and searches again as you accept or reject; Outreach drafts email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp messages in your voice and holds them for approval; the Caller phones candidates, says up front that it is an AI assistant, and writes a report covering answers such as CTC and notice period; the Interviewer runs AI interviews built from your job description and writes each round up; the Notetaker, Screener and Scheduler cover the rest, with an assistant called Pilot that takes requests in plain words. Nothing reaches a candidate until the team approves it.

The difference from Metaview is scope. Metaview is strongest at the interview and is adding steps around it; the Workspace is built around the whole loop from brief to interview, with India's channels — WhatsApp and phone — built in, and a human bench behind it: a hard role can be handed to 100Networks' specialist recruiter marketplace from the same place, at 8.33% of first-year salary on joining with a 90-day guarantee.

Where it is not the best fit: if all you want is the best possible interview notes, Metaview or BrightHire is the more focused product. Access is by request, and each team is switched on by 100Networks rather than signing up instantly.

Pricing: set with each team; no per-hire fee. Request access.

How to choose

Name the step that is actually slow, then pick for that step.

  1. Notes are the problem. Stay with Metaview or compare it with BrightHire. If you are also changing ATS, look at Ashby or Dover so notes live in the system of record.
  2. Interviews take too much engineer time. Look at tools that run the first round themselves: BrightHire's AI Interviewer, Metaview's screening agent, hireEZ's voice screening or the Workspace Interviewer. Our explainer on how AI interviews work covers what a good one should produce.
  3. You cannot find enough people. That is a sourcing problem, not a notes problem: Juicebox, Gem, hireEZ or — for India — Weekday and the Workspace. See the best AI sourcing tools for hiring in India.
  4. You want one system for the whole loop. Compare Gem, hireEZ and the Workspace on the same live role, and check what each sends without approval.
  5. Run it on real interviews. Put two tools on the same week of interviews and compare the notes and scorecards against what the interviewers would have written.

Before you switch: three things to check

Recording and consent. Every notetaker and AI interviewer records candidates. Check how each tool tells the candidate they are being recorded, whether an interviewer can stop recording for a sensitive part of the conversation, and how long recordings are kept. In India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 puts consent and purpose limits for personal data into law, so this is a question for your legal team as well as your recruiters.

Where the output lives. Notes that sit in a separate tab tend not to be read. Ask which fields actually write back to the ATS scorecard, and whether a hiring manager can see the evidence behind a score without opening another product. An integration logo on a website does not answer that; a test interview does.

What happens to history. Leaving any notes tool means deciding what to do with past interviews. Export what you need for open roles and recent hires before the contract ends, agree a retention period for the rest, and make sure nobody relies on a link that will stop working. If you are adding a tool rather than replacing one, decide which product owns the interview record, so the team does not end up with two versions of the same conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Metaview?
It depends on why you are leaving. If you want a different interview notetaker, BrightHire (now part of Zoom) is the closest like-for-like product, and Ashby and Dover both offer an AI notetaker inside their ATS. If you want sourcing and outreach, Juicebox, hireEZ and Gem are stronger search tools. If you hire in India and want outreach over WhatsApp, AI phone calls and AI interviews in the same place, Weekday and the 100Networks Workspace are built for that. Metaview itself now sells sourcing and screening agents, so check whether it already covers what you need.
Does Metaview only do interview notes?
No. As of November 2026 Metaview sells agents for sourcing, application review, screening and notes, plus email outreach sequences and reports. It also offers an AI coworker called fillmore that finds candidates, runs outreach and books screening calls. Its screening agent runs recorded voice conversations scored against a rubric, with a person making the progress or reject decision. Notes remain its best-known product, and its support documentation describes a Notes Free plan of up to 25 calls a month.
Is BrightHire still available after Zoom bought it?
Yes. Zoom announced its acquisition of BrightHire in November 2025 and the deal closed in December 2025. BrightHire is now sold through Zoom's site as an interview intelligence platform covering interview plans, an AI interviewer for first-round screens, AI notes and scorecards, candidate summaries and interviewer coaching. BrightHire has said it remains platform-agnostic, so it continues to support other video tools and ATS integrations such as Greenhouse, Ashby, Workday and Lever, whether or not a company uses Zoom.
Which Metaview alternative is cheapest?
Among the products here that publish prices as of November 2026, Dover's ATS is free, and its Premium plan, which adds an AI notetaker and applicant scoring, is $199 a month. Ashby's Foundations plan for companies up to 100 employees is listed at $400 a month, with its AI Notetaker as a paid add-on. Metaview's own Notes Free plan covers up to 25 calls a month. BrightHire, Gem's standard plans, hireEZ enterprise and the 100Networks Workspace price on request.
Do Metaview alternatives support Indian languages and Indian hiring?
Metaview's own Notes support Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu, and can follow calls that switch between English and Hindi, which is a real strength for Indian interviews. Few alternatives publish equivalent language detail. For India-specific workflow — WhatsApp outreach, phone screening, and capturing CTC and notice period — Weekday and the 100Networks Workspace are built for the Indian market, while most US-built tools focus on email and video.
Should I replace Metaview or add a tool alongside it?
If your team is happy with Metaview's notes, adding a separate tool for the step that is actually slow — sourcing, outreach or first-round screening — is usually less disruptive than replacing it. Replacing makes sense when you want one system to run the whole loop from brief to interview, or when the notes need to live inside your ATS, as with Ashby or Dover. Test any replacement on live interviews before you move historical data.
