QC Engineer (Robotics) — Malaysia at 100networks
Remote · full time · mid level
Compensation: SGD 16000–19000 per year
About the role
## About Botsync Asia's leading robotics solutions provider, automating enterprise supply chains since 2017. Botsync is a Singapore-based robotics and automation company building autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and intelligent orchestration software that transform warehouse and factory operations across APAC. Founded in 2017, we design, manufacture, and deploy intelligent robots — including our MAG series — that handle material movement at scale, so humans can focus on higher-value work. Alongside our hardware, we've built SyncOS™, the industry's first no-code, vendor-agnostic orchestration and fleet management platform that coordinates robots, industrial systems, and workflows across modern facilities — turning weeks-long deployments into hours, without halting production or calling in specialists. If you love robots, hate inefficiency, and want to build things that actually run in production — you'll fit right in. ## The Role Lead factory-side AMR quality control, autonomy software installation, and validation activities — working closely with hardware manufacturing partners in Shenzhen to ensure deployed systems meet technical and operational standards. Act as the technical bridge between engineering, deployment, and manufacturing teams — supporting integration, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement across both hardware and software domains. ## Compensation & Location - S$16,000–19,000 SGD per annum - **Malaysia-based candidates only** (local hiring preference — remote within Malaysia, with frequent travel to Shenzhen and coordination across Hong Kong and Malaysia) - Team: Customer Success · Experience: 2+ years
Responsibilities
- - Perform autonomy stack installation and configuration on AMRs at factory sites - Integrate and validate hardware components including LiDARs, safety PLCs, motor drivers, and onboard compute systems - Configure and troubleshoot networking and communication systems (ROS-based or equivalent architectures) - Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and verify AMR functionality, safety, and performance before shipment - Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software integration issues together with factory engineering teams - Collaborate closely with internal engineering and deployment teams to ensure alignment on system quality and technical requirements - Maintain detailed installation records, FAT reports, issue logs, and technical documentation - Serve as the engineering liaison for partner customization requests and deployment-related technical coordination - Support hardware bring-up, integration testing, simulation, and R&D activities during non-FAT periods - Contribute to engineering change requests and continuous improvement initiatives - Travel regularly to Shenzhen and work effectively with cross-functional teams across Hong Kong and Malaysia - Uphold engineering best practices, safety standards, and QA procedures throughout the AMR production lifecycle
Requirements
- ## What We're Looking For - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, or Computer Engineering - 2–5 years of experience in AMR, mobile robotics, or industrial automation environments - Strong understanding of robot hardware including motor controllers, encoders, LiDARs, and sensors - Proficiency in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python for robotics software development and integration - Hands-on experience with robot system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging - Familiarity with networking and industrial communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus is an advantage - Prior experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, or on-site deployment is highly desirable - **Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written)** to collaborate with local teams and manufacturing partners in Shenzhen - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities - Willingness to travel frequently to Shenzhen (up to 60% of the time) - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment ## Eligibility Malaysia-based candidates only — local hiring to minimise work permit, relocation and travel costs.
Benefits
- S$16,000–19,000 per annum · Health insurance coverage · Annual performance appraisal · Access to training resources. ## Why Join Botsync - **Real Robots, Real Impact** — your work runs on AMRs deployed 24/7 in live industrial environments. This is not a simulation. - **Startup Velocity** — own meaningful pieces of the product from day one; grow into leadership as we scale across Asia. - **Competitive Package** — competitive salary, comprehensive health benefits, annual performance appraisal, and access to training resources. - **Inclusive Culture** — a diverse, collaborative team across Southeast Asia, India, Australia, South Africa & USA. Note: relocation support is not provided.
